PACIV was founded in 1997 in Puerto Rico by Jorge L. Rodriguez, who saw a critical gap in how industrial operations approached process automation, controls, instrumentation and validation. Drawing from deep hands-on engineering, Jorge launched PACIV with a clear goal to bring clarity, consistency, and technical excellence.
As demand for PACIV’s expertise grew beyond the Caribbean, Rick Straw joined as a strategic partner to lead the company’s expansion into the mainland United States. Together, they launched PACIV USA in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2003, establishing a strong local presence to better support American manufacturers and utility providers.
The company continued to grow, opening an office in County Cork, Ireland in 2011 to serve clients across Europe with the same level of technical precision and service commitment.
Today, PACIV operates globally, delivering trusted automation, validation, instrumentation, and engineering support to life sciences, food and beverage, water/wastewater, energy, and other process industries. From day one, our focus has been on working side by side with operations and engineering teams to implement systems that perform reliably and meet complex compliance requirements.
